Chasing and racing and shouting "Hooray!!"
One little kitten got lost on the way
Four baby kittens missing the one
Bouncing and pouncing and still having fun
Chasing and racing all under the sun
One little kitten just wanted to run
Three baby kittens missing the two
Bouncing and pouncing as they were taught to
Chasing and racing like kittens will do
One little kitten was just about through
Two baby kittens missing the three
Bouncing and pouncing with kitten glee
Chasing and racing and shouting "Whoopee!!"
One little kitten decided to flee
One baby kitten missing all four
Bouncing and pouncing becoming a bore
Chasing and racing was more like a chore
One little kitten was happy no more
Five baby kittens all happy to play
Bouncing and pouncing and climbing all day
Chasing and racing and shouting "Hooray!!"
All of the little kittens decided to stay
