The Lizard Story

One uponce a time there was a lizard named Lizzy. She was yellow and white
and very small. One day she was running on the sand and she found an old
wooden trunk. It was heavy and it had a big lock on it. She didn't know
what was in the trunk. It could be treasures of gold. Or it might be
diamonds and rubes. She was very excited to find out what was in the trunk.
She drug the trunk all the way home. It was a long way but she finally made
it. She asked her brother Jiggy if he could help her open the lock. He
tried and tried but couldn't open the lock. She wanted to know what was in
the old trunk really bad. She didn't know what she was going to do now. She
sat down beside the trunk and started to cry. She looked over at the trunk
and saw that one of the boards was loose. She pulled on the board and out
fell the key to the lock. She unlocked the lock and opened the trunk really
fast. It was full of sand. It wasn't what she was expecting. She was
disappointed. She took the trunk outside and dumped the sand out into the
yard. Then she saw something fall out with the sand. It was a book. A very
old book. On the cover it said "One Uponce A Time". It was a book of
bedtime stories written by a very wise and pretty man. She was so happy she
found the book. It was the best treasure she could ever want.
