The Little Puppy Story

One uponce a time there was a little puppy named Perro. He wasn't just
little, he was very very little. He was so tiny that his daddy was afraid
to let him go play by himself. His daddy thought that Perro might get hurt
or lost because he was so little bitty. Perro always wanted to be big so
his daddy would let him play with all of the other pups in the junk yard.

One day Perro and his dad were walking down the street and out of nowhere
a dog-catcher sneaked up and scooped his dad up in a cage. Perro was so
little that the dog-catcher hadn't even seen him. His dad told Perro to run
back home. Perro was little on size but big on bravery. The dog catcher
picked up the cage and started carrying it back to his truck. Perro's dad
kept telling him to run home. Perro ran, but not towards home. He ran after
the dog-catcher and his dad. Perro wanted to save his dad, but he didn't
know what to do. Then he noticed that one of the dog-catcher's shoes was
untied. He ran between the man's shoes and grabbed the shoestring with his
teeth. Then he jumped over the other shoe and ran around behind the
dog-catcher. When the man took his next step the shoestring was wrapped
around his leg and it made him fall. When he fell he dropped the cage on
the ground. The cage broke open and Perro's dad was free. They both took
off running before the dog-catcher could even get up. Once they were safe
Perro's dad told him that he was very proud of him. Perro had proven that
even though he was little he could still be a big help. From then on
Perro's dad would let him play with the other pups at the junk yard.
